Pros and cons

Pros

  • The Notebook Classic is priced €17.50, so an office budget can start from a stated figure.
  • Every product page carries a Personalise option, so a notebook can be ordered with a name on the cover.
  • The same store carries notebooks, planners and desk accessories, so an office basket stays with a single supplier.
  • Leuchtturm1917 GmbH has been trading since 1917 and is based in Germany, so the seller behind the order is identifiable.
  • A reader can ask a question before or after ordering and still reach a person at the company, rather than filling in a form and waiting.

Cons

  • Next day delivery is not offered, so an order without name embossing arrives after a waiting period.
  • A buyer paying in dollars converts €17.50 before comparing with a local supplier, since the store quotes in euro.
  • Direct delivery covers 10 countries including Germany, Austria and Belgium, and a buyer in another country is not on that route.

Who it suits

  • Office managers restocking notebooks and planners for a team from the same supplier.
  • Small business owners who want named notebooks for clients, since a Personalise option sits on every product page.
  • Readers who want paper goods and writing kit rather than a broad office-supply catalog.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Anyone who needs a parcel the next day.
  • Buyers who want a price in their own currency, since the store quotes in euro and €17.50 has to be converted.
  • Shoppers looking for a general office-supplies catalog rather than paper goods and writing kit.

The company behind it

The store is run by Leuchtturm1917 GmbH, whose headquarters are in Germany. The company was founded in 1917, and that date still sits in its name. Anyone who needs to reach it before or after ordering can go to any of email, chat, phone and more. For a reader weighing one supplier against another, that gives a named legal entity, a stated home country and several routes to a person, which are the details to check before paper goods are compared on price. An embossed order is arranged from the product page rather than through a separate enquiry, so the company stays the single point of contact for the notebook itself and for the questions that follow it.

Frequently asked questions

What does Leuchtturm1917 sell?+

Notebooks and planners sit at the centre of the range, with writing instruments and desk accessories around them, and the store is organized into paper, pens and writing and filing and storage. A reader can therefore cover a notebook, a pen and a folder from the same supplier, and the Notebook Classic is the line most buyers meet first.

How much does a notebook cost?+

The Notebook Classic is priced €17.50, and that is the figure the range leads with. It is a starting point for a buyer budgeting per notebook rather than a typical spend, and it is quoted in euro, so an office in the US converts before comparing with local suppliers.

Can I order a notebook with a name on it?+

Every product page carries a Personalise option, so an embossed notebook is ordered from the page for that notebook rather than added afterwards. The order still begins at €17.50, and the embossing is chosen as part of the same purchase rather than raised as a separate request.

How quickly does an order arrive?+

Next day delivery is not offered. An order without name embossing goes out after a waiting period, and it is dispatched from Germany, where the company is based. An overseas buyer therefore plans around the standard route instead of counting on a next day arrival.

How do I contact the company?+

A question can reach the company by written message, live chat, a phone call or its help centre. The entity behind the store is Leuchtturm1917 GmbH, with headquarters in Germany, so a reader with a question about a personalized notebook can raise it before or after the order rather than through a third party.

How long has Leuchtturm1917 been trading?+

The company was founded in 1917, and the date sits in its name. It is Leuchtturm1917 GmbH, a named entity rather than a trading name, which is what a procurement lead looks for before an order is placed and before a quote is signed off internally.

Who is the range for?+

Office managers and small business owners who want notebooks, planners and desk kit from the same supplier, and who want a notebook that can carry a name. Budgets set in euro suit European offices, and the entry point is €17.50 for the Notebook Classic.

Can a notebook and matching desk items come in the same order?+

Yes, a notebook, a pen and a folder can all come from the same store, because the range reaches past notebooks into writing instruments and desk accessories. The entry point is €17.50 for the Notebook Classic, and a name can be added through the Personalise option on its product page.
