What it does well

Just Paint by Number specializes in guided painting kits that pair numbered canvases with matching paint colors. Customers can also transform personal photos into custom kits with a preview before shipment. Each set combines durable canvas, detailed outlines, segmented colors, pigmented acrylic paints and wooden brushes. The method supports realistic results while encouraging mindfulness and shared family creativity.

Ready designs and custom work

The range combines a large library of ready designs with custom work, so buyers can start from a chosen picture or from a personal photo. Themes run from animals to fantasy figures, and children's picks such as unicorn designs sit alongside more detailed scenes. The result is a catalogue that serves adults and younger painters at the same time, with each kit built around the same guided method. Kits suit households that want a shared activity, since the same canvas can be worked on across several evenings.

Framed finishes

Some custom kits can be ordered with a wood frame, which turns a finished painting into a framed piece ready to display. This option suits people who want the end result to look like artwork from the first day it hangs. Pairing the frame with a personal photo makes the kit a practical gift for a relative or friend. Gift buyers can choose the picture, the frame and the theme, making the present feel personal without needing artistic skill. The finished picture can be displayed on a wall, a shelf or a desk, which gives the activity a lasting result.

Guided painting step by step

Numbered segments turn painting into a step by step activity, so each colour has its place before the brush touches the canvas. Many people find the rhythm of filling in shapes relaxing, especially after a busy day. Because the outlines are already drawn, a beginner can focus on technique and colour rather than on sketching, which keeps the experience approachable. Tools arrive together in the box, so the painter can begin without buying extra materials first. The included brushes and paints suit the outlines, which keeps the finish neat.
